Terms of Service
The rules for using InvoiceStudio: accounts, plans and billing, your content and your responsibilities.
On this page 15 sections
The short version. You own your invoices and data. You are responsible for what your invoices say, including tax. Paid plans are billed through Stripe; if you cancel, your account goes back to the Free plan and keeps its data. AI and voice features can make mistakes, so check every invoice before you send it.
About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and InvoiceStudio (“InvoiceStudio”, “we”, “us”) for your use of the website and app at invoicestudio.cc, including the free tools (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm that you may accept these Terms for it.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old and give a real name and an email address you can receive mail at.
- Keep your password safe and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- If you buy a plan without being signed in, we create an account for the email address you used at checkout, and you set a password afterwards.
Plans and billing
The Free plan costs nothing and needs no card. It includes 10 documents and 10 saved customers a month, all 28 designs, PDF download with no watermark, printing and payment tracking.
Paid plans, in US dollars:
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Lifetime (pay once) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $3 | $30 | $49 |
| Pro | $7 | $70 | $99 |
| Business | $10 | $100 | $149 |
| Enterprise (per company) | $29 | $290 | $499 |
What each plan includes is shown in the pricing section. Yearly billing costs the same as 10 months.
- Payment. You pay on Stripe’s secure checkout by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your plan switches on as soon as Stripe confirms the payment.
- Monthly and yearly plans are subscriptions. They renew automatically and are charged at the start of each period until you cancel.
- Lifetime plans are a single payment. They do not renew and do not expire for as long as InvoiceStudio offers the plan’s features. Lifetime means the lifetime of the Service, not of you or your business.
- Price changes. We may change prices for the future. A change will not affect a period you have already paid for, and we will tell subscribers before it applies to their next renewal.
- Features marked “coming soon” or “early access” (for example the client portal, white label, the public API, the CRM pipeline and team seats) are not part of any plan until we launch them.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a monthly or yearly subscription at any time by or emailing support@invoicestudio.cc. When the cancellation takes effect, your account returns to the Free plan. Your invoices, clients and other data are kept, and the Free plan limits then apply to new documents and customers. You can upgrade again whenever you like.
Refunds: if you are not happy with a purchase, email support@invoicestudio.cc within 14 days of the payment and we will look at a refund. This does not limit any refund right you have under the consumer law where you live.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for fraud, including fake, misleading or duplicate invoices meant to trick someone into paying;
- break any law, including tax, consumer, data protection and anti-money-laundering law;
- upload content you have no right to use, or content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes someone else’s rights;
- send spam or unwanted messages through the email features;
- try to get into other accounts or parts of the system you are not allowed to use, probe for weaknesses, or get around plan limits;
- overload the Service, or scrape, copy or resell it, without our written permission;
- use the AI or voice features to produce harmful content or in a way that breaks the rules of our AI providers.
Your content
You own everything you put into InvoiceStudio: your business details, logo, invoices, clients and other data (“Your Content”). You give us permission to store, process, display and send Your Content only as needed to provide the Service to you, for example to show it in the app, make PDFs, send the emails you ask for, and keep backups. We do not use Your Content for advertising.
You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to use any personal data about your clients that you add. InvoiceStudio itself, including the software, designs, templates and branding, belongs to us. You may use the invoice designs for the documents you make with the Service.
Invoices, tax and compliance
InvoiceStudio is a tool for making documents. You are responsible for making sure every invoice is correct and meets the rules that apply to you, including tax rates, VAT, GST or sales tax, tax registration numbers, invoice numbering, required wording, currency and record-keeping. Calculations, templates, examples and guides on the site are there to help, but they are not tax, legal or accounting advice. If you are not sure, ask a tax adviser or accountant.
InvoiceStudio does not collect payments for you. The payment methods on your invoices (for example PayPal, Wise, bank transfer or crypto) are your own accounts with those providers, and any payment is between you and your client.
AI and voice features
Voice invoicing and the website chat use AI from Anthropic (Claude) and ElevenLabs. AI can mishear what you said, misunderstand it, or get names, amounts, taxes or dates wrong. Always check an AI-made invoice before you save or send it. The chat assistant gives general product information and may be wrong; our written plan details and these Terms take priority over anything it says.
Third-party services
Some features depend on other companies: Stripe for payments, Anthropic and ElevenLabs for AI and voice, your own email provider for sending invoices, and the payment providers you show on invoices. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their services. If you connect your mailbox, you must follow your email provider’s rules.
Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep InvoiceStudio running and your data safe, and we back it up every night. We cannot promise the Service will always be available or free of errors; it may be down at times for maintenance, updates or problems outside our control. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a main feature of a paid plan, we will tell you and offer a fair solution, such as a refund for the unused part of a period. Keep your own copies of important invoices, for example by downloading the PDFs.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we give no warranties beyond those stated in these Terms, including about fitness for a particular purpose.
As far as the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost revenue, unpaid invoices, tax penalties or lost business;
- we are not liable for errors in invoices you send, including errors in content produced with the AI features;
- our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if you have not paid us anything.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.
Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account through the chat. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts other users or the Service at risk, or is used unlawfully. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to download your data. If we close the Service as a whole, we will give at least 30 days’ notice so you can download your invoices.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, and disputes go to the courts of the United States. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws, and the right to go to the courts, of the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the “Last updated” date at the top, and for important changes we will tell signed-in users in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new Terms apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel and stop using the Service.
